I’m A Celebrity: Ant and Dec liken show spat to BREXIT in cheeky political discussion as Jungle Jailhouse twist causes ructions in the camp

The Jungle Jailhouse twist saw Jacqueline Jossa, Andrew Maxwell and Kate Garraway butt heads in Thursday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Here.

And hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly likened the spat to Brexit as they made a cheeky political jibe during a show link.

Jacqueline, 27, and comedian Andrew, 44, went to war when they learned of the bombshell arrival of new contestants, actors Andy Whyment and Cliff Parisi – with two unlucky campers set to join them on basic rations in the Jungle Jailhouse.

Some campmates put themselves forwards to become Outlaws and join Cliff and Andy, but when Andrew suggested drawing names out of  a hat, Jacqueline wasn’t happy, and branded the twist ‘scary.’

After both Jacqueline and Nadine Coyle, 34, said they didn’t want to do the task, Andrew and Kate were selected to go, but when the presenter asked if she was happy to do so, Kate said: ‘I don’t know really, is the truth of it. Someone’s got to go.’

When Caitlyn Jenner, 70, said they had all agreed to draw names to decide the two campmates, Jacqueline responded: ‘It’s not fair You shouldn’t have put your name in if you didn’t want to go, when the people that wanted to go, they were up for it!’

Kate and Andrew then left the camp, with Ant and Dec likening the indecision over the vote to the ongoing Brexit drama back in the UK.

A whimsical Ant, 44, said: ‘There’s an argument to say, if you don’t like the result of the vote, you can’t just have another vote to get the result you want.’

‘It’s complicated isn’t it, right from the start Jacqueline said she wanted to remain.

‘Kate started off saying she wanted to leave then  changed her mind and wanted to become a Remainer.

‘Andrew Maxwell got involved, he wanted to stop them going back and trying to change the result

‘You know what I like about being over here, getting away from all that nonsense back home’ as the crew laughed out loud.
